Dream Quest

Dream Quest is a casual mini game inspired by the JRPG (Japanese Role Playing Game) genre with the goal of providing a fun multimedia Windows experience with the lowest system requirements possible. This game is intended to run on the likes of machines such as the Pocket 386, but will also run on your newer systems.

The game features a story where you must rescue your master from an evil monk in a dungeon. There are 21 dungeon floors to progress through with all kinds of danger. A variety of items, weapons, and jewelry are exist to aid your journey. Monsters in the dungeon include bats, rats, blobs, spiders, mushrooms, skeletons, ghosts, clowns, spades, and pumpkins.

Movement and combat in Dream Quest is turn based. You may fight or attempt to run from battles. You may also use items in battle and eventually you will learn techniques that will make you more powerful. Techniques use action points that are earned from fighting. Aside from throwing bombs and performing techniques, regular attacks are carried out by clicking on a power bar to determine the damage.

Among the progressively dangerous monsters in the dungeon, you must also deal with thirst and even limited air on some floors.
